The Central Okanagan International Education Program has welcomed students from 35 countries from around the world. Since its inception in 2005, the Program has steadily grown to educate approximately 400 international students every year in all secondary schools and middle schools, and several elementary schools in the district. International students who choose to study in the Central Okanagan appreciate our welcoming community, supportive homestay families , high quality academic programs, and diverse extra-curricular opportunities. We believe the Central Okanagan International Program creates a positive, globally aware, and culturally diverse learning environment for all of our staff and students.

We operate a mostly long-term high school program, with some short-term elementary, middle, and secondary students. Each school has a language cap of 1%, so that international students study in predominantly English speaking learning communities. We run our own homestay program and offer monthly cultural activities and other optional trips.

The Central Okanagan  International Program is accredited by the British Columbia Ministry of Education.  The district is an EduCanada brand-authorized institution that provide high-quality education programs.  The Central Okanagan Public Schools International Program is a member of the Canadian Association of Public Schools International (CAPS-I), the International Public Schools Education Association (IPSEA), and the British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE).

Student applications are accepted throughout the school year.
